A heads-up to two of my friends; no names are given, since the parties in question are intelligent enough to recognize themselves.

I will listen if anyone needs to vent or rant.
I will do my best to be a good friend to both of you.

I will not repeat anything that is told me or that I read.
I will not choose sides, nor will I be manipulated into so doing. I trust that my lack of tolerance for the manipulative is so obvious as to render further commentary on the subject redundant.
I will not be put in the middle of this.

What you say to me in private will remain private. What you say elsewhere or on your own journals is your business, and will remain there.

However, let me make one thing absolutely, unequivocally clear: this is my semi-public personal space for which I pay, and if you happen to encounter one another here, as is possible, you will conduct yourselves in a civil, courteous, and adult manner. That is not a request. It is a command. Regardless of whether or not you respect each other, at least show enough respect for me to keep the drama out of my journal.

I'm sure we all understand one another now.

Today's adventures involved battling a ripped skirt (it was my faaaaaaaavorite skiiiiiiiiiirt), a nosebleed, and managing to turn in my expense report and time sheets in the nick of time. Also, the decision to let a professional deal with my nails, as it doesn't cost that much and I can no longer be arsed with it. I seem to have gotten physically girlier as the year progresses, but maybe that's because it's light out now and I tend to be in a better mood during spring and summer.

I will be stuck in the office for a while, which is actually not that bad as it means I will have time to screw around online during the evenings (and am at lower risk for diet failure, etc). As ever, the usual rules apply: when I tell you I have to go, I really do have to go and am not fabricating excuses to get rid of you. I don't have to get up until 6 in the morning, but I do have to have some sleep.

There was going to be a paragraph here about the utter fagsplosion that ensued when Mom and I went to the store, but it was funnier in real life than on the screen, so I'll skip it.

Not much to say, other than that I'm looking forward to the rest from Sullivan. I miss having a "real" office job.
