I would like to clear up some commonly-held misconceptions about me, my nature, and my character.

I do not care whether you are offended by me, anything I say, or anything I do.

I do not make a habit of pulling my punches, nor will I do so just for you. If you don't want to know what I think, don't ask me, and don't ask the question in general in a place where I might see it. Ask me a question, and I'll give you an answer--but don't assume that it will automatically be the answer you want.

I am not interested in appearing "caring", "nice", or "supportive" at the expense of plain speaking.

I don't want bullshit dished out to me. Don't expect me to dish it out to you. The truth--or at least your honest opinion--may piss me off, but I'll get over it.

I will not take your side if I genuinely believe that you are in the wrong. This is not tantamount to saying "omg you are a bad person"; it is tantamount to saying "I have moral qualms about defending you because _____".

I am not a pleaser. I do not care about fitting in, because I can't fit in and it doesn't matter whether I try or not. I do not give a shit about being loved, liked, or popular. Approval is not a driving or motivating force for me.

I owe my mother gratitude. I owe the bank about $11K for my car. Aside from that, I owe anyone fuck-all. Don't act like I "owe it to you" to be a certain way or do certain things.

Don't tell me that I "should" do something unless you're prepared to explain why.

I am not interested in kissing the boo-boos and wiping the tears of the world.

I may be furious with you, but if I love you, I won't give up on you. I expect you not to give up on me, even if you're furious with me.

If I love you, I will move heaven and earth for you.

This may make me an asshole or a bitch, but I don't really care. Those I want to know me do.

Don't like it? Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.
