xifengI finally got the hot cross buns made, and feel terribly sorry for anyone who has picked up vaguely bun-shaped dinner-roll-like objects with bits of raisins and an icing cross at the grocery store, because those are NOT REAL BUNS. Teh m0mmy is dyeing eggs, though she keeps wandering off and forgetting about the eggs; at least she doesn't have to hide them for us anymore, which is a good thing. (We used to get really excited about this as kids, apparently. I remember one incident at about 3:30 in the morning when X-chan was around 9 or so, and I was probably about 12; X-chan let herself into my room to announce that she'd found an Easter egg. My response to this was to the effect of, "If you don't go away and let me sleep, you're going to have more to worry about then where the hell the Easter eggs are.")
At least this Easter won't pass without an Army green egg, a tradition at our house.
It has been cold, and my skin is terribly dry. Except, of course, for the inside of my nose, which is a breeding ground for horrific zits.
Also, I have finally figured out a title for this piece I'm working on at the moment, except that's really not going to help me much with the plot, now is it.
I'm not really sure why I suddenly feel the need to chronicle every little mundane detail of my day, but there you have it. Enjoy it, or don't.
