Happy birthday! I had a wisdom tooth out with just the normal local anaesthetic and it was a doddle. My tooth was in such a state they took pictures of it for medical students :-|
Once the painkillers wore off I was just left with the odd "things are weird" sensation in my mouth, similar to when one re-arranges furniture in a room. I feel like I missed something, like the pain people go on about.
I'm with you - I certainly wouldn't have allowed sedation to yank a frickin' tooth, despite the fact it wouldn't have cost me anything.
I've started to notice more people using the word "enthuse". I can only applaud this!
