We finally got a new monitor. Truly, this is glorious.

More stuff later.

Nyan Cat > Puddi, but that's my own opinion.

Also, what manner of camelid is in your icon? There was a Very Serious Discussion of alpacas at work the other day.

FLAWLESS VICTORY~

It is a llama. My newfriend's Mom asked her what a pannier was, after reading my journal, and she asked Google for an example.

Llamas with panniers came high up on the results. Who could resist such a stately, practical animal? Also: why are people's Mom's reading my journal?

Llamas with panniers are truly magnificent. They are eminently practical creatures; I'm currently re-reading 1491, which touches on the Inca empire (among other things) and the Spanish complaints that Andean roads were just dreadful. Unlike horses, llamas have no qualms about going up steps.

They will also guard sheep.

I would be a little concerned about people's parents (specifically, my own) reading my journal, too. Maybe she just wants to be sure you're not an axe murderer who picks his nose and eats it?

I can imagine that the only qualms llamas have are that the tea you served them has too much sugar in it. I'm quite surprised they don't wear monocles. I have in fact met two folks from IRC recently who have confirmed I'm not an axe murderer, although I did murder a coconut with a hatchet while they were here.

I'd been drinking port out of it, and the inside did not look pretty. Moving swiftly on...

With regard to llamas wearing monocles, this (https://sircritter.com/design/sirllama/) came immediately to mind. They are, indeed, the most debonair of creatures (though they strike me as being too gentlemanly to complain about your excessively-sweetened tea).
