I realize I owe people e-mail and whatnot, but at this point about the only thing I care about doing on or with the computer is

a.) logging orders in and out

or

b.) working on t3h n0v3l. I am woefully behind schedule on that, which I realize is piffly and insignificant and makes absolutely no difference to anyone but me, but I can't let things go and I tend to set rather punishing schedules for myself. And right now, that's the only thing I really give a shit about.

This is as much to say, "I'm not ignoring you and I've probably read your e-mail and I know I owe you a reply but I don't know when I'm going to get to it."

1000 words a day is doable (well, depending on someone's work and life, etc). The problem arises if one evening you come home and you're tired and you don't really feel creative right now and you don't really feel like sitting down and writing some stuff down and I think I'll just wait until tomorrow. Because then the snowball has begun running, and once you make the first excuse, there's no telling when it'll stop. I know, because that happens to me all the time. I never seem to learn.

The solution is discipline, even if the 1000 words turn out to be crap and mainly consist of the words "SCREW NED FLANDERS" over and over again.

See? I can subtly insert Simpsons quotes everywhere!

That is my problem EXACTLY, and I keep trying to learn but it isn't working out. Are you sure you aren't my 3v0l Tw1n from, like, outer space or sommat?

My words turned into "The political situation, then, did not allow for a direct approach, and they had to petition the High King aaaaaaaaaaargh this is the most ridiculous stupid half-assed crap EVAR and I can't believe I'm writing it".

Yes, I would never have guessed where "SCREW NED FLANDERS" came from. *ph33rs your Simpsons!quote powers*

You are ignoring us, really :p

BTW, I had a thought. If you changed your settings to show comment pages in your style, I shouldn't break your Firefix any more.

And yet, inexplicably, everyone's life will, no doubt, continue. Persons found guilty of refusal to cope will be slapped about for five minutes and then released. :p

Although customized comment pages offend me on an aesthetic level, it is worth it if you don't break my Firefox anymore. :D

What if I don't want to be slapped?

Non-broken things are always a plus *g*

[Lee's father]There's a lot of things I don't want![/Lee's father]

Besides, you haven't yet been found guilty of refusal to cope by a jury of your peers, and even if you were, the judge could commute your sentence to "looking at pictures of cold creamed pork brains". :D

Hurrah for non-broken things!

A jury of my peers are more likely to decide that sentencing is far too much effort and run off to eat crisps and play computer games instead ;)

YAY!

Yes, and my peers would acquit me of honor-killing my father and his wife, on the grounds that "the old bastard had it coming to him anyway". ;)

(PSA: It is NOT okay to kill people for revenge, even if Lee wishes it were.)

Plus, this layout loads faster in MIE for some reason :D

You would be fine as long as your trial was held in Greece, sometime BC ;) Herodotus would write about it as the natural path of history *g*

It does? Obviously firefox hates you :(

And you would have to include it in your essay on causation. ;) That could be interesting, actually.

I've finished that one now, though :( Now I have to do one on the Archeology in Thucydides and your trial will be of no use at all to that.

ALL IS DOOMED D:
