You know what I used to do back when I was first trying to stop reading Allegra's journal? I set my browser up so that it was a banned site - easy to do now that all LJ addies are subdomains. It doesn't stop you viewing it at all, given that you can override it, but it does mean that you get your browser asking you whether you're sure you want to look. It actually worked really well for me.

The technical stuff aside, it's nothing to do with manly resolve and everything to do with being human. Although it sucks that it's ow atm :(

I actually dithered to see whether I could do it with Firefox, which is my browser of choice (things load quicker); I can, but only by installing an add-on or dithering with the root file in Windows itself. Besides, testing one's willpower builds Character!

Gah, that sounds like far too much effort. In Explorer, it's simply a case of setting up the content adviser. The only difficulty I had with it was that there were a few sites it thought were too naughty for me to look at. Not, like, hard-core pr0n or anything either, so it got annoying and I turned it off.
