So, the Christmas haul:
+ A cut-out paper ornament with cute nisse from
forgottensanity
+ Hand cream and I think also body cream (I'm too lazy to go walk over and check the label), also from Cat
+ An entire delicious tin full of long-gone cookies, snowballs, and burnt almonds from Cat
+ OMGCUTEPENGUIN bookmarks from
augustuscaesar
+ A calendar with Scenes of Australia (and Waitangi Day prominently marked!), also from Tara
+ $425 (combined) from both grandmothers and my father
+ A charm against car accidents, which H picked up at the Meiji shrine
+ A random omikuji (poem drawing), also courtesy of H
+ ROSES!!!!111!11oneone!!flowers!!1, from H
+ Y2000, which is technically not a Christmas present but is my half of the take from a bet H made with his friends (he won)
+ A giant chocolate patty with nuts, labeled a "reindeer pie", from X-chan
+ Dark chocolate flavored with espresso!, from m0mmy
+ A highly realistic replica of a giant squid, from X-chan
+ A Viking statue that X-chan picked up in Denmark (note to
dethorats: NYAH NYAH NYAH, I GOT A SQUID AND A VIKING FOR CHRISTMAS, AND YOU DIDN'T.)
+ Towels in Manly colors, from m0mmy (don't laugh--my old towels were leftover from college and they look it, too, but we can use them to make a cozy nest for Callice)
+ A snuggly!blanket, from m0mmy (we had one on the guest bed, to which I grew emotionally attached)
+ A Bad Cat calendar and matching notepad, from m0mmy
+ The Dead Sea hand care kit (you know, with the sea salts and that), from X-chan
+ A copy of What Is The What, from X-chan
+ A coffee grinder from m0mmy
+ Cards from
angeljuggalette,
beldar, and
driley1
Callice received a new catnip toy, which she played with for all of five minutes before she decided that it would be more fun to go gnaw on the curly ribbon on the packages. We wound up tying curly ribbon to the catnip toy (which entailed touching cat slobber), and she was mellow for all of twenty minutes. Seriously, I do not understand why some people sentimentalize their cats.
Happy holidays, you lot. ♥

Date: 2007-12-26 05:59 am (UTC)I have a big box of things for you, so that you can enjoy squealing and complaining about how I must have spent OMGTOOMUCH money and have fun unwrapping them. On account of I have money (for a couple more minutes, since I have credit card bills to take care of and a car payment I haven't made yet and my share of the car repairs to cover), I might just get them in the mail this week. ^_-
Thank you for the holiday wishes, and the happy hearts. *draws you some more* ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Date: 2007-12-26 09:39 am (UTC)THE VIKINGS ARE COMING TO TAKE OVER THE USA! It is about time, too. It's hard to get that far when you're a viking. They are slowly making their way there in whatever way they can. One day soon everyone in the US will own a viking statue, and that is when they will commence their attack. You are all doomed. DOOMED!!!! I tells ya.
In other news, I am glad you liked the presents. =) And my cat bookmark is tons better than your silly penguin! Pah, what've penguins ever done for us?!

Your presents are always yay. ^_^ Also, the penguins were SO CUTE. :D

Date: 2007-12-28 02:11 am (UTC)If X-chan goes to Japan before I do, I totally expect a samurai. Actually, several samurai would be preferable, as I could then make them interact with each other.
(No. No, I don't have any inchoate longings in re: the matter of samurai. XD)
It was a pretty good Xmas, all told.

Date: 2007-12-28 01:53 am (UTC)However, when I come visit, I will bring my squid and you can play with it. :D X-chan actually has several other giant scale sea creatures crowded around her manger scene, thus making it look like the Nativity was attended by a giant walrus.
