+ Y2000, which is technically not a Christmas present but is my half of the take from a bet H made with his friends (he won)

+ A Viking statue that X-chan picked up in Denmark (note to dethorats: NYAH NYAH NYAH, I GOT A SQUID AND A VIKING FOR CHRISTMAS, AND YOU DIDN'T.)
+ Towels in Manly colors, from m0mmy (don't laugh--my old towels were leftover from college and they look it, too, but we can use them to make a cozy nest for Callice)

Callice received a new catnip toy, which she played with for all of five minutes before she decided that it would be more fun to go gnaw on the curly ribbon on the packages. We wound up tying curly ribbon to the catnip toy (which entailed touching cat slobber), and she was mellow for all of twenty minutes. Seriously, I do not understand why some people sentimentalize their cats.

I have a big box of things for you, so that you can enjoy squealing and complaining about how I must have spent OMGTOOMUCH money and have fun unwrapping them. On account of I have money (for a couple more minutes, since I have credit card bills to take care of and a car payment I haven't made yet and my share of the car repairs to cover), I might just get them in the mail this week. ^_-

That "reindeer pie" sounds suspiciously like "reindeer droppings". Does the visual support this theory? Either way, I suggest you do not eat it. At least not before X-chan has tasted it first (and then pay close attention to where she took her slice).

THE VIKINGS ARE COMING TO TAKE OVER THE USA! It is about time, too. It's hard to get that far when you're a viking. They are slowly making their way there in whatever way they can. One day soon everyone in the US will own a viking statue, and that is when they will commence their attack. You are all doomed. DOOMED!!!! I tells ya.

In other news, I am glad you liked the presents. =) And my cat bookmark is tons better than your silly penguin! Pah, what've penguins ever done for us?!

That was the intention, and yes, the visual does support that theory (I suppose, since I'm not man enough to google "reindeer poo" with Image Search). It appears to be rich and chocolatey, with an unwholesome nutty center.

I thought they already took over the USA, back in the deeps of time. But we have more Starbuckses and malls now, so maybe they're coming back to finish the job.

Your presents are always yay. ^_^ Also, the penguins were SO CUTE. :D

I am SO ENVIOUS. Seriously, a squid?! I want a squid! That would be so cool. As for the Viking statue, I am also envious of that but am partially assuaged by the halbardier figre I got. It has a big weapon, yes, and an expression promising certain doom.

It was a scale model. I was like, "OMG Price is going to be so jealous." XD The Viking was more cute and whimsical than threatening, though he carries a very large axe and has an impressive beard.

If X-chan goes to Japan before I do, I totally expect a samurai. Actually, several samurai would be preferable, as I could then make them interact with each other.

(No. No, I don't have any inchoate longings in re: the matter of samurai. XD)

It was a pretty good Xmas, all told.

I'm probably going to use the $425 to pay bills, if that makes you feel better *g*

However, when I come visit, I will bring my squid and you can play with it. :D X-chan actually has several other giant scale sea creatures crowded around her manger scene, thus making it look like the Nativity was attended by a giant walrus.
