Well ... Most of the beggars that I do see write their signs in English, which is one way of noticing. As far as Dane/non-Dane goes, our average appearance has changed some over the years because we now have a lot of Muslim people in Denmark. So you can be a Dane without necessarily looking like what is generally thought that a Dane looks like (the Scandinavic features, light complexion, etc). There are of course some "Danish" beggars. We actually have some who live on the streets for fun, although I don't really get that, but each to his own (there was a documentary about that a while back). The beggars that I see seldom live up to the ... "regular Dane appearance" or whatever, which is another reason. I really have never seen a person who had the definite appearance of a Dane beg on the streets, apart from some drunken drug-addicted wrecks who go around asking for money, but I consider that to be a different situation. I guess it's how you define begging. But I also doubt that these beforementioned beggars are here legally, because if they were they would be eligible for government fundings, so I don't see why it would be necessary for them to beg. Unless the government has tightened the immigrant laws without my knowledge. The government sucks, and they've formed a majority with the Danish Racist Party, I'm sorry I mean People's Party, and they love to make things worse for anyone who doesn't look like a perfect Dane. Them in their little white hoods and nazi symbols, no doubt. I hate that party and I hate that so many people voted for them in the last election.
