1.) Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] lemurjoe!

2.) So, like, it's V-Day, and I was going to write some sort of sappy blather about H here, except it seems a bit inappropriate given the fact that, y'know, H and I aren't actually together or anything, so I thought better of it. Point here being, if you were waiting for some sort of announcement with the hearts and the darts and the floating fays, you're going to have to wait until or unless there's actually something to announce.

3.) I realized today that I get an 11 or 12% return on the resumés I send out, and that's just in terms of getting an interview. This is depressing, but I want to move back to Bloomington and by King Zeus I'm going to do it too.
3a.) Back to storming the bastions of resumé output.

4.) You know what totally sucks ass about Valentine's Day? The Mart doesn't have any of those gelatinous cinnamon-flavored heart candies I like. All it carries are the shitty-ass cherry-flavored ones instead.

5.) I should try to fire up ye olde IM systems more often. Except with my luck, I'll probably get used to being on the Int0rbuttz more just when it's time for me to move and then I will be lost to human sight F0R3V4H.

6.) None of this means I'm back, okay, so nobody get too excited.

Eurgh, let's not discuss the cherry-flavored...creations...

I know nothing about you and H, so no questions there, just me wishing you good luck there and with your job hunting (though I hope it becomes job slaughtering and after that, a barbecue during which you get the job you want and get to be in Bloomington again).

I'm not too excited. I just hope life treats you right. ♥ Love you.

I used to be able to get the cinnamon-flavored ones in Bloomington. You know, where everything is better.

It's a long story. I suppose I should probably tell you about some of it sometime, but it still seems a bit private, and since nobody knows where it's going (or if it's going anywhere), anything I could tell you would inevitably be rendered obsolete by next week's exciting developments.

I will invite you to the barbecue, on condition that you cook some mammoth for us to consume whilst there. ^_-

L0ff j00 t00. ♥

Gelatinous is a good word. It makes me think of jellyfish.

Jellyfish are pretty :) Until they sting you and you wind up in hospital on account of their poison. Then they're still pretty, but not as much fun. D:

Also, continuing the gelatinous train of thought, I do not like red Jell-O because my father let me watch The Blob when I was 6 years old.

Yeah, I pretty much get twitchy even when I see the most harmless sort on our beaches, because most of our jellyfish are far from harmless, in that I Will Kill You After Causing You Unbearable Pain kind of way.

I can see why that would be an issue!

What is it with Australian fauna wanting to kill everyone? I mean, I realize evolution took new and interesting paths there, but EVERYTHING apparently is dangerous, from things you've said *g*

My childhood was not optimized to produce normal human beings ;)

I think it's pissed off because we're so isolated from the rest of the world, which means that plane fares are ridiculously expensive if our fauna should ever feel like seeing the world.

It could always try going on a cruise. Though I can understand if it would rather fly, as I have heard that cruises are like being chained to a feeding trough at sea (m0mmy's worst nightmare).

Well, cruise-wise, fauna is fairly limited, as cruises tend to just stick to the Australian islands or wander around Oceania. If it needs to visit family in Europe or Africa, it's kind of stuck :/

This calls for a charitable foundation that would fly Australian fauna to Europe and Africa *g*

It does! Or perhaps they could set up an exchange program!

Then the deer could come and visit Australia! And you could--
