In ttly unrelated news, I was reading old e-mail from H last night, and I could smile. I think I'll always be a little sad, because of what's gone, but mostly I could remember it for what it was and smile.

Mmm, gazpacho. I've never heard of the green gazpacho, but it sounds delicious. I love avocado. I'd love to hear how it turns out if you opt for that one.

Black bean gazpacho is just wrong. BLACK ISN'T EVEN A COLOUR. It is a shameful memory on gazpacho's otherwise fine resumé of life.

We've had the green gazpacho before, and it IS delicious. :9 If you used more avocado and less water, it would probably also make an awesome dip for things like raw vegetables and pita chips and mmm.

I fell for the black bean gazpacho because a.) it was in Julia Child's The Way To Cook and oh my God I love Julia Child, and b.) the picture made it look really good. I'm not sure how I feel about cold beans, but I would like to try it just to see if it sucks or not.
