...on account of my Christmas shopping is done. Hurrah! I had to call X-chan to find out the size of the living room TV (it was smaller than I thought; as a kid, it appeared huge to me), and then as things turned out I couldn't fit it in the car and had to call X-chan to come schlep it off the Best Buy premises in Mom's car. Apparently one of my presents is being kept in the garage, so I can't go in there, and Mom wouldn't stop doing laundry and get out of the basement, so X-chan couldn't get it down there. In the end, we settled for leaving it in the back of m0mmy's car, administering the strictest of injunctions (viz., "DON'T ANYBODY LOOK IN THE BACK OF THE JIMMY!!!!!11!!").

Oh, and X-chan will get her pasta machine, which is exactly the same thing I bought for Mom 5 years ago (to replace the one we had when I was a kid, which got ruined; you're not supposed to get them wet, and somehow Mom's got wet) but mysteriously costs about $10 more. SO EMBITTERED, but I hope she likes it.

In today's "Oh Teh Hilarity" section, MasterCard sent me, like, three offers for a card with a credit limit of $1000, oblivious to the fact that I already have a MasterCard and that that is its credit limit.

Happy holidays, and that.

When Sister and I were little, my parents would lock our birthday presents in the boot of the car. That way we couldn't get to the presents when my father wasn't home (as the car would then most likely not be there) and we couldn't get to them when he was home, because then he would know and the boot would be locked at any rate.

*sniffs* Like I care about what's in some stupid presents.

Everyone is so mean.

My folks never had to tell us not to peek, because we always liked to be surprised. However, I can imagine that this must have been most frustrating for you. Or would have been, if you had cared about some stupid presents. Which you didn't.

How cruelly your parents mistreated you. ;___;

It can be back, eventually. It did take a long time to load, though, so I decided that nothing said Christmas quite like a samurai. ^_-

How did we all live before Best Buy? Anyone know? God I spend too much money there.

I think we wandered about in a haze of shifting confusion. Or maybe we did the Appliance Dance to the gods, and then waited for electronics and appliances to fall from the sky.

I do too, which is not helped by the fact that I have credit with them.
