-->I didn't check the mail yesterday
     * because I was schlepping the bedding in from the car and I couldn't do that and have a hand free to check the mail
-->so the tax check probably came yesterday
--> BUT STILL AMAZON
-->YOU SAID BY EIGHT O'CLOCK AND IT'S ALREADY AFTER FOUR
???I wonder if the Chocolate Moose is open

Green Knowe! :-) Major story details are fuzzy now (after X years) but YES, I remember loving those books. Definitely the kind of thing that seems like it would be worth a re-read.

The Amazon's current is often sluggish. Those Amazonians should paddle that canoe faster! ;-)

I remember them very fondly from my childhood, and they seem to be fairly obscure in the US. (I should have known that if anyone remembered reading them, it would be you!) Sooner or later, I would have bought them all, but a few weeks ago I was jonesing VERY BADLY and finally pulled the trigger. I've been acquiring them at the rate of a book a week :D
