Hey.

I wish I had a huge entertaining whopper I could tell about why I was gone, but the truth is that sometimes I come home exhausted every night in a week and I don't have time or inclination to piddle about on teh Intarwebz. Also I have been really disinclined to do anything that isn't reading lately. Also also, I wonder if, like [livejournal.com profile] naiadea, I am getting to a point where the Internet isn't fun anymore, although I really hope not as that would take some of my leisure activities away from me.

Then again, it could also be due to the OMFG BEASTLY heat. We just killed the A/C and boy am I suffering already.

+ Had the phone jack hooked up, so the new fax line is ready to go. All I need now is a new fax machine!
+ Got an oil change
+ Drove all over God's green acre
+ Went to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest with teh m0mmy, also had lunch

Also, while I'm at it: who wants to go to

+ The Columbus Scottish Festival (9-10 September, Columbus, IN)
AND/OR
+ The Indy Irish Fest (15-17 September, Indianapolis, IN)
AND/OR
+ The Fishers Renaissance Faire (30 September-1 October, Fishers, IN)?

I can cart about three other people in the car, assuming I clean all the crap out of it, and am willing to transport over reasonable distances. As usual, the questions of dates, times, and lodging have not been settled yet.

Uh, yeah. So that's about it.

Hmm, define "reasonable distances". Does it include oceans? I've always thought a Renaissance Faire sounded rather fun.

But you can't give up on the internet! It's the place where you find ... uh, pictures of othello cake and, um, email!

And Varthema pr0n, if I felt so inclined (ie. I was bribed).

No, Cat, the ocean does not qualify as reasonable, sorry. I can't drive in the ocean. It messes up my car. And it'll mess up your fur, too, if you get in there. Who ever heard of an aquatic cat?

Mmm, hot sexy othello cakes dancing for you.

I did not authorize any Varthema pr0n

What do you mean there are no aquatic cats?

Behold! (http://www.norden.org/faktaof/text/19havkat.htm) Havkat! Literally: seacat. I think it's called catfish in English.

So there. =P Now you have no excuse not to come and pick me up!

*is pwned*

It is called catfish in English. It is tasty when fried and served with biscuits and macaroni and cheese and coleslaw and green beans. :D

However, if you are a seacat, then you can swim to our fair shores. So hop to it. :P

Humph. >.> I can't swim that far, I go all pruney, and then who'd want to take me to Renaissance Faire? And I would get lost anyway and probably wind up in, uh, Nepal and get eaten by a pygmy. DO YOU WANT THAT ON YOUR CONSCIENCE??

Meany. ;_;

Oh, don't be silly. Pygmies don't eat fish, everybody knows that. They only eat small pillows and rice.

Well, I've had worse things on my conscience, really. Ph33r my checkered past!
