I have the beginnings of a headache for the third night in a row.

The cat has been peeing on things again, so I lost my temper, sprayed the wing chair down with cat repellent, picked her up, brought her to the chair, and waved her in its general direction, yelling, "NO." I figured it was the strongest thing I could do that wouldn't hurt her, but that she wouldn't like. Of course, now she's curled up at my feet purring, so who knows how much of that she actually absorbed.

If I ever get an order from KTC that does not come through LLS, I am going to send it back unworked and write on it, in big angry letters, By no means will I retrieve these documents. They appeared on the prior title evidence, and no competent title company would throw them away...or need to see them again. Either learn to keep decent records, or refrain from wasting my time with this nonsense. NO FURTHER ORDERS FROM YOU WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Persons waiting for t3h n0v3l will have to wait until the end of September, because all I've got right now is horrid pabulum that I can't force myself to make you read. Dammit.

Persons who would like to wait for t3h n0v3l, but have not yet indicated any interest in so doing, can comment here.

Randomly, have realized that August is over to all intents and purposes and that it has been three years since my last cigarette.

Am very, very excited about this weekend, as it is three whole days for a l33 to sit on its ass and read and catch up with things and otherwise be unproductive :D

Oh hurrah on the not-smoking thing :) Three years is quite an accomplishment.

Now if CAT would stop weeing over everything, your life would be complete ;)

I was like, "Holy shit, it really has been that long," when I was in the gas station yesterday and was sorely tempted to say, "Yes, would you get me a pack of..." when the counter d00d asked me whether the gas was all for me today. The longing for them is insidious, but I figure I'm now duty-bound to see if I can make it four years. ;)

You do realize that [livejournal.com profile] forgottensanity will see that last and heatedly deny weeing on ANYTHING and the NERVE of some people making ALLEGATIONS like those. ;)

Mom and I have started talking about confining Callice during the day. I hate to do it, because I don't want her to associate our leaving with abandonment and punishment, but we've pretty much established that the weeing is behavioral, and it's EXPENSIVE to have everything cleaned. And in any case, I think "won't quit weeing" is a stupid reason to give a pet back to the Humane Society.

Once you get to three years, it's almost not worth giving up all that for a fag :) Likewise, I am not smoking at the moment, and don't feel particularly inclined to take it up again, but I have a bad habit of doing so anyway.

You'll have to set up security cameras to catch her at it!

She'll get used to being confined very quickly if that's what has to become the norm. And it's not like you can't reverse it if she gets over the weeing phase.

I struggle with the temptation on a regular basis. The knowledge that You-Know-Who will destroy me with fire if I do it again is somewhat helpful in keeping me on the straight and narrow.

She once attempted to reassure me that she hadn't weed on anything she sent me. I'm sure it would have worked if she hadn't been using her shifty-eyes icon.

True. It will probably hurt me worse than it will her. ;)

I'm like that with drinking. The moment something slightly bad happens, I'm twitching to knock back something I'm not allowed to touch.

Shifty-eye icons are always a dead give-away.

Exactly. Possibly because she will bite you the moment you get home *g*

Ick. Cat urine smell. >_< I guess the next step would be to hold her over the chair and slap at her behind, which is what I escalate to if the cat has repeatedly done something completely out of bounds. Other than that, you're doing all you can do.

I wish you'd let us read what you think is horrid. I, at the least, might like it! I'm being serious!

I love being unproductive and I love j000000. ^^6 Also, I love this new layout, if I haven't mentioned it previously.

Thing is, though, I want her to associate "peeing on the chair" with "getting spanked", the way she associates "attacking Mommy's feet" with "getting spanked". And you really kind of have to catch them doing it in order to be effective, or otherwise they're going to think they got smacked for no apparent reason.

I guarantee you wouldn't, except in the same sense where you seem to like everything I fumble at. It's a whole bunch of clunky exposition of absolutely no interest to anyone except completists.

I l0ff j00000000 t000000000. ^_^ As for the new layout, you have the folks at LJ to thank for it, because I am not 1337 with the S2.

Cats are worse to punish than dogs. When one of our dogs has an "accident" in the house and you drag them to it, they know what they've done. Cats, on the other hand, are nonchalant when you show them what they did wrong. Show the cat a shredded patch of carpet, or a peed-upon chair, and they'll be like, "So?" If they had gum, they'd smack it noisily while narrowing their eyes slightly to show they're annoyed at you for wasting their time.

Heh, I'm biased, it's true. I'm also biased towards exposition, regardless of how clunky it is; I never get past exposition on most of what I want to be long, novel-length original fiction endeavors.

Why not just use S1? I still use S1 and always will. I l0ff S1, but not with the same depth and m34ning with which I l0ff j00! **dorks and glomps you**

Ah, a bit like Kyo, then. ^_- "I don't understand why you're so worked up about this, Akita-san. Has anyone ever told you that you shouldn't let your emotions get the better of you? Really, I'm surprised at you."

Callice plays the, "I love you, Mom ;____;" card on me on a regular basis. Then she curls around my ankle and purrs, so it's hard to tell if she's absorbing any of it.

I try to downplay the exposition, or to work it in little by little. Otherwise, it winds up like, "In the year 2045, there was war." And then it just degenerates into a lot of All Your Base jokes.

I just don't have the patience to do S1 much anymore. Besides, I l0ff j00 m0r3 th4n I l0ff m4k1ng l4y0ut5, w1th a m1ghty 4nd p0w4hful l0ff! *is glomped by her adorable dork uke*
